I analyzed four of my following appreciations which I do not generally circulate because I believe in serving and not running a popularity contest with Gurus, Sadhus, Swamijis and Anandas but just a Vitaranananda (distributing agent) assimilating and dissimilating what I think is logical with my scientist instinct! These have a great impact on Hindu American life.

I have had the good fortune of living and spending considerable
time amongst various cultures and
followers of major religions of the World, for some years as UNIDO Expert, in my latter years of 20 years of service and
earlier in India itself. I spent
45 years in service working with labor force drawn from many religions,
beliefs and faiths. I had always a close relationship with people I came in
contact. Coming from a very conservative Sri Vaishnava Philosophy I started
believing that there is no place on
earth without Vishnu’s influence. To me
Brahma was my past responsible for my appearance on Earth
and Rudra was my future to judge my
performance on Earth in a place unknown to me to take a decision either to hand over
me to Brahma again to find a
suitable home or push me higher up never to return. So religion of mine today may not be the
religion of my future life. Many of you may not agree with me nor I would like
to change your mind for I do not believe in proselytization nor I believe God
is a dictator. I do not say I was an Angel but lived comfortably studying their
culture, blending with their culture and observing their faiths and beliefs
sometimes joining too! This influences
me to take a balanced views and look for
areas of co-ordination and fusion. Such a view takes you out of religion and
approaches human values which we call simply Dharma or specifically Manava
Dharma.
I lived in India amidst multi religions, practicing my own religion at home and forgot religion when I stepped out of house until the religion was dragged to the streets by what is known as Periyar Movement which turned into moderate Anna movement later. I succeeded in getting out of the web and safely landed in a country where there is complete separation of state from religion if not God to be on your own! Even in India which is a secular state there is indirect control by Hindu Religious Endowment Boards. Living amidst multi-religious groups peacefully enjoying life and progress in life is a cake walk in USA.
One comment above is from India from traditional orthodox Hindu Vaishanvite with open mind. The second one is a Malaysian Hindu migrant, born to religious family in Kerala, settled in Malaysia, born in Malaysia, married to Christian American, brought up by Saivite parents, now trying to build a Vishnu temple for Venkateshwara in of the shores of USA. Both husband and wife are devoted to interfaith and serve for the cause. The third is a Jain that sprang from Sanatana Dharma who has no animosity towards Hinduism who attends every festival and ritual held in a Hindu temple and seriously goes through every E-mail of mine. The fourth one is a staunch Saivite American Hindu scientist who is averse to the diversification of Hindu American Tradition that wants to pack as many deities as possible including religions grown out of it in a temple losing focus on worship and the reforms that are taking place in India towards consolidation and worship on false deities with wrong interpretation of Puranas.
Interracial marriages attracted to each other by the universal binding force of love is steadily increasing. In majority of these marriages one partner is from Hinduism and other from Christianity and occasionally Islam and Hindu. Marriages where one partner is Hindu and other is a Jain, Sikh, Buddhist bound by common Indian culture does not bring complications into the life of children. Even in India it is quite common among Punjabis to have a two-way flow and interaction between Hinduism and Sikhism enjoying religious freedom without disturbing the faith they come from. In such interracial marriages if one of the partner is religiously brought up as a Hindu he or she is able to bring up the child with Hindu faith and culture. This seems to be more common than the other-way round. There are other complications each partner keeping to their faiths that confuses children. Some finding no right solution say they are spiritual and not religious not knowing what that spirituality is. Some openly declare they are atheists with total indifference to religion which number is alarmingly increasing.
I have come across a versatile scholarly American Hindu priest and astrologer who built a temple and runs it as a personal venture and owns a private plane too which may not be wrong to call religious business that could be an example of an American idol that there is nothing like success.
There is a mistaken comparison of equating Hindu priests with Pastor or Father or Nun of Christianity. Hindu temple Priests are salaried persons. They are not to be confused with Swamis (all renouncing Sanyasins) who do not work for money but do not refuse any small “yatkinchit dakshina” (gratis) to run their bare minimum of life and not the entire family. But people pay respect due to an elderly and learned Pundit however young he may be. They are family men adepts in ritualistic worship. I have not come across a female priest in Hinduism and there may not be one. Pope in Rome also is against Woman-priests. The priests as we have to-day in Hindu American Temples can’t be our guides to run festivals and rituals who are trained in the process for the Sectarian classified deity or Devata. All our festivals and rituals in One temple for Many traditions should be broad based and meaningful ably supported by scriptural and purnaic support. The inspiration and guidance should come from Sanyasi or religious head prescribing the mode of worship appropriate taking care of the society it lives and come to One Temple for Many Traditions on any Special Event Hindu Americans are confused and go by the advice of imported sectarian priests who are career oriented, who are not focused to raise their kids religiously and try hard to bring them up focused on more lucrative jobs of technology and medicine. When one is focused on the family he can’t be focused on religion and spirituality!
My father was a village school master and priest too where I attended primary school living in the temple house within the temple and I know how hard it is to focus on religion all the time and guide the community too. He temple in the village where lived may be described as a worship room in a house that took care of the entire religious needs of the village community. Hindu priests are expert scholarly religious guides but not Gurus who can lead us religiously or spiritually. They believe in “please repeat after me” and religious disciplinarians like our fathers who disciplines us!" I know a very scholarly Hindu American expert priest and astrologer who solemnized wedding of my son now owns a temple, travels in his own plane and I may not be wrong if I say that he has his own religious promotion business, ideal “American Idol” Hindu priest.
I wonder whether these complex Hindu-Christian-Islam American families are living in perfect harmony and peace with focus on spirituality with some religion or not. If there is a need for religion Hinduism with its base Sanatana dharma with its principle Eko viprah bahuda vadanti- the one scholars call many ; tadekam, That One and sarve janah sukhino bhavant—May all be happy, has a nice and sound start. I am amazed how the American couple with Hindu Siva Tradition childhood influence whose father still influences her religious views has picked up Venkateswara as her mentor to build a temple off shores! Only recently she knew that Venateswara is Skanda(Murukan) who is Sanatana in all ancient Esoteric Traditions of the World. May be this is another recent magic spell of Enigmatic Jagannatha-Balaji the ruler of the World! But what happens if harmony is lost in such families? We have seen how the Weiner–Huma Abedin marriage break and disharmony has shook the Nation! These couples life of struggle to succeed will have lot of impact on the society. You can thus see a kind of –ism which may be called Hindu Confusion-ism emerging in America but not the Hinduism we practice that we say comes from Vedic Religion which Vivekanada prophesied as The Religion of the Future In Chicago more than 100 years back! In this background we will be wiser to revert back where we started. That is why I am planning to focus on Hinduism of Sanatana Dharma appealing to all as One God in my three draft discourses to your particular attention that will lead us to Universal Oneness and one family. Here Hindu Americans can largely influence the majority based on East, Middle-East, West and Far East Traditions of Esoteric Sanatana Tradition that was once a Universal binding Force of all Traditions. Sankara started this cohesion by his Shanmata and Panchayatana Puja which is Smarta Samprardaya minimizing the complexity. This first stage fusion has started in my own life and my siblings. I am sure every one of us will have their own personal experience to add to. I am sure this Hindu American life study would help our philanthropists who render selfless service to community to avoid unimaginable deities in Hindu Temples under the philosophy all donations are accepted and needs to be rewarded. Without an eye on the future to sustain what is established with so much effort will leave behind a sad history like the fate of European Tradition though they carry all European surnames and Conquistador in Latin America that destroyed completely Native Traditions though USA itself was established with Natives co-operation or submission by the Pilgrim fathers who came in search of land for free religious practice fed up by State controlled Christianity of England. We happily say God Bless America not knowing who that God is?
I sent the following E-mail to the author of a recent publication on World Religions drawing his attention that the contents would contribute a little bit to his Unique book on World Religions. He thanked me for the Input thus acknowledging my view point.

Wisdom comes when we learn to see secular culture for what it is and then rise above it. Wisdom comes when we confront our egos and wisdom comes when we can surround ourselves with people who have spiritual depth and compassion and not money minded priests and astrologers. If we are unable to do this, the secular culture will eat us alive, keep restless and lonely and leave us devoid of spiritual meaning and fulfillment. For this we have to look back how we were once strong in our spiritual culture and spread the message round the globe that had impact on all faiths and beliefs. We need to focus on Universal Oneness, fusion not fission, and understand that Truth is One and common for all. The world is One family—Vasudeka Kutumbakam. Esoteric Sanat Kumara Tradition that came out of Hinduism had a very strong influence on people but people went out of it for convenience to work as small esoteric groups but always had a focus on Sanat Kumara tradition but in the process got lost!
During the 15th century the first English version of the Bible was written by William Tyndale Unfortunately he was accused of blasphemy and later burned at the stake! After Tyndale, seven subsequent versions of the Bible were written, the last of which was the most popular King James version, compiled a by a large number of theologians under the leadership of King James of England in 1611. Under British Rule Church and State were together. Unluckily even the first version had more than three hundred errors in it. The Islamic fundamentalists of those days could not fully grasp those great masters and all of them were put to death. Origen tried to incorporate much of the beliefs of Greeks and Hindus in the sixth century but they were officially condemned in the Second Council of Constantinople as anathema. The teachings of Origen on reincarnation were expunged from Church doctrine, never to return. Gnostics, like Hindus believed in an impersonal God—a nameless, unknowable being called The “Abyss” or Brahman. Gnosticts also taught that redemption from sin does not involve the death of Jesus Christ. Redemption is simply each person’s effort to secure emancipation from the physical body. Gnostics believed in spiritual discovery discussed at length in various Upanishads. Christians by their claim to possess “gnosis” or knowledge (Veda also means) knowledge coming from the Sanskrit word root vid to know) secretly revealed to them by an unknown God. Like us they believed that man is part and parcel of God, a divine spark (mamaivamso jeevabhootah sanatanah) and that achieving true knowledge is the ultimate goal of a human being. So early Christianity could not tolerate all those ideas of the Roman, Greek belief systems, backed by god–inspired scriptures of Hinduism (Puranas) and Christianity respectively. Now with the new IT marvels such authentic materials are lifting up their head. Let us examine some of these in the present context.
Compared to many religious scriptures Vedas and Upanishads are kept intact with no major or repeated house cleaning with the original content in the well-developed Sanskrit language unlike the Western Scriptures of ancient scripts and therefore it is logical to take the Vedic dictum Vedokhilam Dharmamoolam that Vedas are final authority as sound basis.
Sanat Kumara in Islam
Sanat Kumara
is referenced in the Koran, in Rumi’s poetry and in other Islamic work as El
Khidr. Speaking of El Khdir, the Prophet Mohammed says, “I have seen my Lord in
the most beautiful of forms.”
Sanat Kumara in Judaism and Christianity
Sanat Kumara is the presence of the Flying Eagle, recorded
by John and by the Prophet Ezekiel. He is the Presence of the Lamb in the book
of Revelation who stands with the 144,000 for the descent of the New Jerusalem.
Since the late 1800s, a number of spiritual movements have mentioned Sanat Kumara in their writings. These include books by HP Blavatsky, the I AM (Jehovah--Aham Bramhasmi--Upanishad Mahavakya) Movement, the Bridge to Freedom, Werner Shroeder, Lead Beater and Annie Besant.
Sanat Kumara is invoked throughout the Old Testament as “The Lord Thy God,” who delivers the Ten Commandments and the Pentateuch (five first books of the Old Testament) to Moses.
And ultimately, when he gives us the first commandment:
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy
Hindu Scriptures Say:
Venkataadri samam sthaanam
brahmaande naasti kanchana |
Venkatesa sama devo na bhooto na
bhavishyati ||
There is no place equal to Tirupati on Earth (like Vatican to
Roman Catholics where the Son of God can be identified with Sanat
Kumara) and there is no God equal to Venkateswara who was in the past nor will
be in the future.
If there be any Paradise on Earth it is Venkatadri Hills. If there be any God on Earth today it is Sanat Kumara or Skanda or Murukan or Kumara known to all religions in the ancient past. This brings forth the prediction of Swami Vivekananda that Vedanta is the Religion of the Future presented to the World Forum in Chicago century back and declared there is but One God.
“Ekam Avyaktm Anantaroopam”—One without a second imperceptible limitless in form (MNU)
“Dyaavaaprithivyau Deva Ekah”—The Self-luminous Reality is one without a second and is the creator of Heaven and Earth (MNU)”
My forthcoming 3 discourses are long and elaborate with lot of references to various religious scriptures including Upanishads which may perplex you and I am sure this preliminary background will help you to get a grip on the subject and understanding. My talks are focused on well- established religious practices of the world by learned religious Pundits for whom I am no match. My statements can’t be casual coming from an ordinary man who may be questioned “What does he know about Religion and God?” I have not created any phantasy of my own. World Outreach is beyond my capability but I am sure it will open the eyes of Hindu Americans to examine their own current practices and see how we can strive for One Hindu Temple Tradition for all and show the path to other religions to progress towards One God and One Family based on Ancient Wisdom!

OURS—A UNIVERSAL RELIGION
“We said that the Vedic religion was the earliest religion of mankind. All other religions arose only after it. There are evidences to conclude that it was prevalent all mover the Globe. We shall mention a few of them:
All inscriptions unearthed in Egypt and
dated 1280 BC contain terms of treaty between Rameses II and the K Hittites. In
this treaty, Maitra-varuna, a Vedic dual deity has been cited as a
witness. (H.R. Hall’s Ancient History of
the Near East). Ancient Egyptians kings
bore names like Rames I, Rames II, Rames III etc., resembling the name of Rama
who was the Avatar of Vishnu.
In the island of Madagascar off the
eastern coast of South Africa, most of the place names have affinities with
that of Rama.
In regard to the Sahara desert in North Africa,
geologists advance the theory that it is dried-up beds of ocean. Ocean in
Sanskrit is Saagara. May it not be that modern name Sahara is corruption of the
Sanskrit Sagara. It is also said that when Sahara was under water, there were
people all round its shore whose names were mostly Sanskrit. Some of them were
said to be related to the Lord Krishna. Some of them were said to be related to
the Lords of Kosala. (Encyclopaedia Brittanica).
In far off Mexico, they celebrate a festival
called Rama-Sita, the time of the
festival corresponds to our Dussehra or Navaratri period (The Maya Indians of
Southern Yucatan, North and British Honduras—T.W.F Gunn). Excavations made in
that country have brought to light a number of Ganesha idols. The ancient inhabitants of those parts were Aastikas (Those who believe
in Vedas, a term which still lingers in its corruption as Aztecs, as the people
there are now called.
In Peru, in Wert South America, the
inhabitants were Sun worshippers. Their principal festivals of the year fell on
the solstice (Asiatic Researchers). They were known as the Incas from Ina
meaning the Sun.
We know the Puranic story of the King
Sagara and the sixty-thousand sons who were burnt to ashes by the King
Kapila. The princes dug the earth to go
to Paataala Loka in their search for sacrificial horse which
they found near the sage Kapila who was engaged in penance. As they
offended him, he looked at them with angry eyes and they were reduced to ashes.
Paataala Loka corresponds to the Antipodes of India, namely America. Could California there be Kapila Aranya? The
probability is strengthened by the fact that there is an Ash Mountain Park in
California and Horse Island in Alaska in North America.
Figures in the book The Native Tribes of Central
Australia by Spencer and Gillen depicted a kind of dance said to be current
among the wild native tribes of Australia. The dance is described in the book
as “Siva’s Dance”. On the loser examination, the dance appear to have painted
on their forehead a third eye, a few suggestive of the possibility that the
people of even such distant lands as Australia were acquainted with our Vedic
gods.
In Eastern Archipilago, evidences of
our religion are to be found. In Java,
there are numerous relics of Hindu cult and worship. In Borneo there is a
forest which used to be spoken of as Virgin Forest (The Malay Archipelago). A
party of explorers discovered a stone which contained an inscription
commemorating in detail the performances
of some Yagas and Yajnas by certain king (Yupa inscriptions of Mula Varman of
Koeti, Borneo).
All these evidences serve to show that
our religion was once prevalent throughout the globe. It may have been that for causes which we are
not able to ascertain, the tenets and practices of our religion began to
decline in other parts and their prevalence came to be confined to the land of
their origin originally known as Bhaaraa Varsha., India. When it lapsed into
oblivion in other countries and when due to lack of any religious consciousness,
the people became godless and unethical, there arose in those lands great
prophets, who brought to light one aspect or another of the forgotten religion.
They declared themselves to be founders of new religions and came to be revere
as such. But it must be noted that the fundamental moral principles underlying
these new religions only emphasized some feature or the other of the Universal
Vedic religion with certain theological variations”
I would like to add the following to
the above:
The
migration of Hindus and Buddhists from India to the Americas from Alaska to the
Andes, their establishing colonies there and spreading their religion and
culture millennia before Columbus is now a well-recognized fact. The
American Congress held in the Mexico City in 1962, where a number of learned
papers supporting this theory were presented, is the proof of this. The
City of Hastinupara on the outskirts of Buenos Aires on which I gave a
discourse in the past is acknowledgement of that history! The Incas and Peru
were none other than the Hindus who had migrated by land and sea from India.

An Esoteric History of Our Solar System
According to esoteric tradition, life exists
throughout this solar system. Though invisible to the untrained eye, millions
of souls on other planets contribute to the overall spiritual ecosystem of our
solar system and galaxy. Our choices on earth also greatly impact their
destiny.
What appears to be science fiction is
actually spiritual non-fiction. The reason why our scientists cannot detect
these life forms is because there are several dimensions within the physical
plane that vibrate at different frequencies. Life on the Sun, Venus,
and Mercury vibrates at a higher frequency that corresponds to the etheric
plane. Life on Mars vibrates at the water (astral) level of the physical plane.
Some people who have clairvoyance would be able to perceive these life forms,
just as they are able to perceive ghosts and demons within the astral plane of
earth; fairies, gnomes, and leprechauns within elemental life; and angels and celestial
cities in the etheric
plane.
The harmony between planets, solar systems and galaxies was greatly shaken up by the fall of the Nephilim, Nophilim, Watchers, Lucifer, Satan, Serpent and many other angels who served under them. The Book of Revelation explains that the fall took one third of the stars (angelic causal bodies) in heaven.

Understanding the Fall
The fall was justified in Lucifer's mind by his sense of injustice concerning mankind, created a little lower than the angels, nevertheless given free will and ultimately crowned, through Christ, with greater honor and glory.
What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honor. (Psalm 8 and Hebrews 2)
Filled with jealousy and resentment, seeking revenge and retaliation, the fallen angels —following Lucifer's example—refused to serve mankind. Like the sibling rivalry of a spoiled "enfant terrible," who seeks sympathy from those around him and will stop at nothing to get his way, their childish impetuosity blinded them to God-reality. They could no longer identify with the divine consciousness of the Law of the One or receive the protection of the circle of oneness that vibrates at love's higher frequency. In their rebellion, they were cast out of heaven (the etheric plane) through their own doing. Defying the name of God I AM THAT I AM, they heralded egoic independence as "I am who I am," cloaked in worldly prestige and non-challenge.
Whether in embodiment or working through those in embodiment, the fallen ones still channel their former wisdom into deceiving and enslaving the children of God. They cunningly exploit mankind's free will by leading him into idolatrous relationships, binding associations and karmic ties that, lifetime after lifetime, become most difficult to disengage from.
Cut off from their divine source, they syphon the light of the children of God in a vampiristic way until all of their former attainment has been spent and they receive the final judgment and second death. Fashionable parasites, they prolong their time by karma dodging, and by cunningly tempting the children of God to relinquish their light through a culture of “sex, drugs and rock and roll,” backed by abortion. They orchestrate wars, nuclear, chemical and biological warfare, genetic engineering and population control for the shedding of blood, for the manipulation of the light essence and to reduce the percentage of light bearers. They also manipulate the economy and money systems to hoard the abundant life. Revelation warns:
Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.
Roaming the physical and the astral planes (the earth and the sea), these rebellious ones wedge themselves into positions of power to attack the Christ potential in all of God's children, be it latent, developing of fully manifest. Generation after generation, they work to sabotage the advent of universal Christ consciousness and tarnish the vision of the Prophet Micah, "each man under his own vine and fig tree."
They surround and move in on the true Lights of God to control the Word through codification, modification and "letter of the law" interpretation. Warping the teachings delivered through avatars, prophets and even our founding fathers, they downplay and ultimately condemn the innate divinity, rightful inheritance and ordained mission of each Son and Daughter of God. Insulating themselves from their karma through mutual reinforcement, they boast of social, political and spiritual superiority, and disseminate self-serving interpretations of the law to further enshrine their ego-control, social eminence, political power, and legalistic claims. Sadly, their agenda has also infected many light-bearers.
Advocates of hierarchy and inherited power, they promulgate false hierarchies and totalitarian regimes based on control and idolatry, where their authority is revered over that of the Christ. In this context, "dissidents" are met with intimidation, humiliation, and elimination; and allegiance is rewarded with an illusory sense of superiority, security, belonging and self-righteousness—all at a cost.
Conditioning to this system for thousands of years has created a psychological rift within mankind that taints the concept of true hierarchy on which heaven is built— fraternal bonds where the greatest is humblest servant of all, where the good shepherd gives his life for his sheep, and where those with more attainment lovingly and respectfully help those with less attainment by lending their momentum and example.
The false hierarchy's double standards, haughtiness, cupidity, hatred of Christ, hoarding of the Word (key of knowledge) and clique building is what Jesus rebuked during much of his Palestinian ministry when he challenged the fallen consciousness of the high priests and their lawyers. His dialogue below is recorded in the Books of Matthew, Luke and John.

Murmur not among yourselves. It is written in
the prophets, "and they shall all be taught of God."... How can ye believe, which receive
honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?..

ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, "thou
blasphemest; because I said I am the son of God?"..

Why go ye about to kill me? Speaking to his disciples, Jesus
prophesied how their stand for Christ would be received in life's unfolding
drama :

A Rescue Mission
Long before Jesus'
Gallilean mission, Earth had already become so polluted by fallen influences
that the planet could no longer be spiritually and physically sustained. This
is where the story of Sanat Kumara and 144,000 volunteers from Venus comes in.
To save Earth, these high souls chose to follow their guru in exile from a
planet of beauty and love, described by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow in his poem,

etheric vibrational frequency.)
The mission of the 144,000 was to embody, like
Jesus, in earth's densest conditions again and again to challenge darkness, to
bring forth light, to expose the fallen ones and to ensoul divine awareness.
Wayshowers of Christ, these ones came to reignite the spiritual flame in the
hearts of mankind, rekindling the connection to innate divinity, so that
through free will mankind might once again, in the words of Moses, "choose
life, not death."
The sacrifice of the 144,000 was immense. Their story is recorded in books by the I AM Movement, Agni Yoga, Werner Schroeder, Charles Leadbeater and Mark and Elizabeth Clare Prophet. The forerunners of this group built the retreat of Shamballa on an island in the Gobi Sea (now the Gobi desert between Mongolia and China.)
Sanat Kumara
Sanat Kumara is a manifestation of God, a
spiritual being of great light. He is known as the Ancient of Days, the Eternal
Youth, the Regent Lord of the World and ruler of Shamballa. He is also one of
seven holy kumaras referenced in sacred scriptures.
Sanat Kumara is the bearer of fire. Leading the armies of heaven, he takes up serpents in order to bring peace. He represents the Rose Cross and the Ruby Cross. His emblems are the Flying Eagle (the elevated glyph of Scorpio) and the Yule Log, which symbolizes the rekindling of the threefold flame in the heart of man. In some cultures, he is associated with the symbol of the fish, with the water of life and with the Pleiades.
Sanat Kumara teaches a path of sacrifice, service, selflessness and surrender that leads to permanent reunion with God. His presence can be felt while playing the music Finlandia by Sibelius (now playing with the Ode to Joy, Christus Resurrected, the Battle Hymn of the Republic and Wien, Wien nur du allein, keynote of Lady Master Venus), which anchors such a flame of freedom that it was banned. During the time Finland was an autonomic Grand Duchy of Russia, Tsar Nikolai II started a period of oppression 1899, trying to make the Finnish people Russians, with very little success. He forbid Finlandia, because it was lifting the spirit of nationhood in Finland and was a symbol of independence movement. The period lasted until the independence at 1917, and was called "sortovuodet", the years of repression.

means one who is bowing or stooped, and this is often associated with being
aged. The story of the quest for fire is reflected in the Finnish national
epic, The Kalevala, which may be thousands of years old and charts the
story of Wainamoinen, whose name signifies ancient wisdom.

Another Native American tradition is The Legend of the White Buffalo Woman. The story speaks of a giant eagle who swooped out of the sky to save a young woman during the great deluge at the end of the Old World. Through the marriage of the Woman of the Earth and the Eagle of the Sky, a nation is born again. This is akin to the reference made in chapter twelve of the book of Revelation, “And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.”
The Hopi tradition describes the gathering of 144,000 "rainbow warriors" or “sundancers” who will unite the earth. At that time, people will have their choice to accept or reject the Creator's plan for peace on earth. This is prophetically seen as the return of Quetzacoatl who in the ancient Mayan tradition is also the God of the planet Venus.
Sanat Kumara in Zoroastrianism
Zoroaster
In ancient Persia, Sanat Kumara was revered as
Ahura Mazda who appeared to Zarathustra in the presence of six other beings of
light (kumaras). It is said that in their presence, Zarathustra did not see his
own shadow upon the earth, owing to their great light.
Ahura Mazda means “Wise Lord.”
Zarathustra recognized Ahura Mazda as the one true God, the creator of the
universe, and went on to create a spiritual tradition based on keeping the
flame. Even today, devotees of zoroastrianism use fire upon their altar in
remembrance.
The encounters and teachings of Ahura Mazda
with Zarathustra and with Yima, the good shepherd and first mortal with whom
Ahura Mazda did converse, are recorded in the Zend Avesta. Here, Ahura Mazda is
described as having seven emanations, the Amesha Spentas who are
"bounteous immortals." The one that Yima and Zarathustra invoke most
is Spenta Armaiti, described through the qualities of divine wisdom, devotion,
piety, benevolence, loving- kindness, right-mindedness, peace, love, and
service. Zoroastrian scholars consider Spenta Armaiti as embodying the virtues
of service, loving-kindness and the serenity that comes with enlightenment. He
embodies “universal bountiful tranquility,” not only personal peace and love
but peace among communities and nations. He implies love without expectation of
reciprocity, dutifulness without contemplation of reward, and the universal
brotherhood of man.
Ahura Mazda teaches mankind the laws of sacrifice and service, how to honor the four elements and how to cast out the evil one (Angra Mainyu) through the power of the spoken word. Thus, one can achieve prosperity and peace.
Ahura Mazda speaks: Say aloud those
words in the Gathas that are to be said twice: ‘I drive away Angra Mainyu from
this house, from this borough, from this town, from this land; from the very
body of man defiled by the dead, from the very body of woman defiled by the
dead; from the master of this house, from the lord of the borough, from the lord
of the town, from the lord of the land; from the lord of the whole world of
Righteousness.’
In the Prayer for Helpers, the supplicant calls:
And now in these Thy dispensations, O Ahura
Mazda! Do Thou wisely act for us, and with abundance with Thy bounty and Thy
tenderness as touching us; and grant that reward which Thou hast appointed to
our souls, O Ahura Mazda! Of this do Thou Thyself bestow upon us for this world
and the spiritual; and now as part thereof do Thou grant that we may attain
fellowship with Thee, and Thy Righteousness for all duration.
Sanat Kumara in Hinduism
Skanda
In Sanskrit, the language of the Vedas,
Sanat Kumara means "eternal, beautiful youth." The seed syllable “Ra”
also means flame or sacred fire. Other
references to Sanat Kumara are Jagan-Natha, for Lord of the World, Kartikeya
and Murukan. Sanat Kumara is a son of Brahma, the one supreme God, and
brother of Ganesha. He is Skanda, son of Shiva and Parvati, God of War and
commander in chief of the divine army of the gods. Son of the Pleiades, he is
born to slay Taraka, the demon of ignorance. He is also known as Guha, which
means cave, because he lives in the cave of the heart.The Ramayan of Valkimi is
an Indian epic based on oral traditions passed down centuries before Christ.
Canto VIII, entitled Sumantra's speech, mentions Sanat Kumara by that name. We
read:
Hear, Sire, a tale of days gone by.
To many a sage in time of old,
Sanatkumár, the saint, foretold
How from thine ancient line, O King,
A son, when years came round, should spring….

him no mortal shall be known
Except his holy sire alone.

Sanat Kumara in Buddhism
Adibuddha
Sanat Kumara is Dipankara, the lamp lighting
buddha said to predate the historical buddha in a world cycle long past. He is
sometimes equated with Adibuddha, the original Buddha and is the being Gautama
Buddha pledged himself to.

There a line of enlightened kings is supposed to be guarding the most secret teachings of Buddhism for a time when all truth in the world outside is lost in war and the lust for power and wealth. Then, according to prophecy, a future King of Shambhala will come out with a great army to destroy the forces of evil and bring in a golden age. Under his enlightened rule, the world will become, at last, a place of peace and plenty, filled with the riches of wisdom and compassion.”

known in the West as Shangri-la, made famous through the 1930s book and movie, Lost
Horizon. This theme of Shamballa was taken up in many of the beautiful
paintings of Russian painter Nicholas Roerich, who also wrote a book by that
name.

Sanat Kumara in Islam
El Khdir, Dhulqarnein and the water of life
Sanat Kumara is referenced in the Koran, in Rumi’s poetry and in other Islamic work as El Khidr. Speaking of El Khdir, the Prophet Mohammed says, “I have seen my Lord in the most beautiful of forms.”
El
Khdir preserves and maintains the Reality of the Golden Chain by training
prophets and mystics to come to understand that, "Above every knower there
is a greater knower." He is the benign presence of divine wisdom as
imparted by the Divine himself through direct revelation. He makes sudden
appearances to succor people in times of need and is hidden initiator to those
who walk the mystical path. As spiritual head of the divinely instituted
hierarchy of saints, he rules over ‘the Men of the Unseen”
(rijalu’l-ghayb)—exalted saints and angels who transfer divine science, Theosophia,
down through the ages.
It
is believed that the Muslim veneration of El Khdir (Al Khizr) was initially adopted from Indian Sufis as a
manifestation of the Hindu God Skanda, son of Shiva. At a shrine on the Indus
near Bakhar, El Khdir is worshipped by both Hindus and Muslims who set afloat
in a pond or river a little boat which bears a lighted lamp. In both
Moslem and Hindu art, El Khdir is depicted as the figure of an aged man in a
green coat carried on top of the water by a fish which conveys him over the
river of life. This may also relate back to to the vesica pisces, a form resembling
an Egyptan hieroglyph depicted as the "place between" where Christ
steps out, with a mathematical ratio described by the Pythagorians as the
"measure of the fish." Moslem or Hindu depiction
The name El Khdir means “the green one,” and "eternal youth” who found immortality by drinking the Water of Life. According to the Book of Prophets, Mohammed said that El Khdir became known as such because he once sat on a barren white land which then turned luxuriantly green with vegetation.
Moses finds El Khdir where the two seas, or
oceans, meet, which has been interpreted as perfect knowledge joining the
exoteric and esoteric. The fish of wisdom, which was dead, comes alive in the
presence of El Khdir and disappears in a ‘parting of the sea.’
A similar event takes place with Dhulqarnein
(also known as Iskandar—related to Skanda), historically interpreted as
Alexander the Great. Here, Dhulqarnein and El Khdir journey through the land of
darkness to the ends of the earth to find the water of life. When they find
this water, El Khdir partakes of it and both marvel at how the water of life
revives the fish.
To seal mankind from the forces of Gog and Magog ravaging the land, El Khadir asks Dhulqarnein to build a rampart that will stay up until the trumpet sounds for the final judgment, when the great harvest of souls takes place.
El Khdir can also be found in Kahf, the cave of revelation, where Moses meets him. Interestingly, Mount Qaf, where the water of life flows, is home of the Huma Bird, the Persian equivalent to the Phoenix who rises from the ashes.
In Jung and the 18th Sura, Carl Jung writes, “El Khadir may well be the symbol of the self. His qualities symbolize him as such; he is said to have been born in a cave, i.e. in darkness. He is the long lived one who continually renews himself, like Elijah. He is analogous to the second Adam. He is a counselor, a Paraclete, Brother Khdir. […]Khdir symbolizes not only a higher wisdom but also a way of acting.”
The intercession of El Kadhir is considered a
great honor by many Sufis. The prayer below to be given before sleep 15 times
invokes his presence so he can appear in a dream and advise the supplicator.

Some chivalry references in Europe trace their
way back to Sanat Kumara. Medieval knights who formed the Order of the Garter
adapted much of their underground mystical ritual from their sojourn to Persian
and Arabic lands, and from their reverence for El Khdir. Saint George, patron
saint of Great Britain, has also been associated with El Khdir as dragon slayer
who may ultimately slay the dragon in the book of Revelation.
There may be a connection between Sanat Kumara and the Hermetic green lion, whose seven chakras are stars like the Pleiades and whose blood brings transmutation. And there is undoubtedly a connection between Sanat Kumara and the grail legends.

Sanat Kumara is the presence of the Flying
Eagle, recorded by John and by the Prophet Ezekiel. He is the Presence of the
Lamb in the book of Revelation who stands with the 144,000 for the descent of
the New Jerusalem.

Sanat Kumara is the Ancient of Days in
the Book of Daniel.
I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of Days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.
He is invoked throughout the Old Testament as “The Lord Thy God,” who delivers the ten commandments and the Pentateuch (five first books of the Old Testament) to Moses. He watches over the exodus and diaspora of the twelve tribes of Israel until they reunite again, as prophesied in Revelation. When you search through the Old Testament for “the Lord thy God,” you begin to see a clear picture of the divine edicts brought forth through Sanat Kumara, referenced by the prophets Jeremiah, Isaiah, Hosea, Amos and Zephaniah. In the New Testament, Jesus quotes "The Lord thy God" when he is tempted by Satan in the wilderness:
Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and showeth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; and saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
And ultimately, when he gives us the first
commandment:
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all
thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy
strength: this is the first commandment.
Sanat Kumara in Theosophy, the Bridge to the
Freedom and The I AM Movement
I AM Movement
Since the late 1800s, a number of spiritual
movements have mentionned Sanat Kumara in their writings. These include books
by HP Blavatsky, the I AM Movement, the Bridge to Freedom, Werner Shroeder,
Leadbeater and Annie Besant.
Below is a beautiful description of
Sanat Kumara, taken from the book, The Masters and the Path, by C.W.
Leadbeater, written in 1925.
Our world is governed by a Spiritual
King—one of the Lords of the Flame Who came long ago from Venus. He is called
by the Hindus, Sanat Kumara, the last word being a title meaning Prince or
Ruler. He is often spoken of as the One Initiator, the One without a Second,
the Eternal Youth of Sixteen Summers; and sometimes he is called the Lord of
the World. He is the Supreme Ruler; in His hand and within His actual aura lies
the whole of His planet. He represents the Logos, as far as this world is concerned,
and directs the whole of its evolution—not that of humanity alone, but also the
evolution of the Devas, the nature-spirits, and all other creatures connected
with the earth. He is, of course, entirely distinct form the great Entity
called the Spirit of the Earth, who uses our world as a physical body.
In his mind He holds the whole plan of evolution at some high level of which we know nothing; He is the force which drives the whole world-machine, the embodiment of the Divine Will on this planet, and strength, courage, decision, perseverance and all similar characteristics, when they show themselves down here in the lives of men, are reflections of him. His consciousness is of so extended a nature that it comprehends at once all the life on our globe in His hands are the powers of cyclic destruction for He wields Fohat in its highest forms and can deal directly with cosmic forces outside our chain. His work is probably usually connected with humanity en masse rather than with individuals, but when He does influence any single person we are told that is is through Atma and not through Ego that His influence is brought to bear.
At a certain point in the progress of an aspirant on the Path he is formerly presented to the Lord of the World, and those who have thus met Him face to face speak of Him as in appearance a handsome youth, dignified, benignant beyond all description, yet with such a mien of omniscient, inscrutable majesty conveying such a sense of restless power that some have found themselves unable to bear His gaze, and have veiled their faces in awe. Thus, for example, did our great Founder, Madame Blavatsky. One who has had this experience can never forget it, not can he ever thereafter doubt that, however terrible the sin and sorrow on earth may be, all things are somehow working together for the eventual good of all, and humanity is being steadily guided towards its final goal.

Sanat Kumara and the Music of the Spheres
Composer Dorothy Lee Fulton, Messenger of
Music, has received hundreds of songs from Mother Mary dedicated to ascended
masters, angels and cosmic beings. Several of these songs relate to Sanat
Kumara, Lady Master Venus and the Ruby Ray path. They are featured in our store

beautiful description of the mission of the Ancient of Days. The music is a
